Get Your Green On Feature on ‘County Connection’ on Channel 20

You or someone you know might benefit from information in this month’s “County Connection” program.

In recognition of May as Mental Health Awareness Month, Palm Beach County is raising awareness of the county-wide “Get Your Green On Campaign.”
Find out how it started, how to get involved with upcoming activities and how the campaign contributes to a healthier community.

Airs Mondays at 6:00pm, Tuesdays at 4:00pm, Wednesdays at 3:30pm, Thursdays at 1:30pm, Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 9:00am and Sundays at 11:30am.

The Lake Worth Beach CRA in partnership with the Center for Child Counseling and Healthier Lake Worth Beach invite you to an online presentation..

In the absence of protective relationships, toxic stress in childhood impacts an individual’s well-being across the lifetime. The ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Study, one of the largest studies conducted to assess the association between childhood maltreatment, later-life health and well-being, is highlighted. This presentation provides an overview of the ACE study, Trauma, Toxic Stress, and the impact on health. Resilience and building a trauma-informed approach is also explored.

Join Healthy Mother, Healthy Babies  for a special presentation about mental health issues related to pregnancy and postpartum! This training will benefit students, physicians, nurses, pregnancy care providers, mental health professionals, case managers, and any other professionals who support perinatal women. In this training, you will learn about mental health disorders that commonly occur in pregnancy and postpartum. You will gain tools and information to enhance quality of care and improve healthcare outcomes for perinatal women who experience depression, anxiety, and other behavioral health concerns. Protective factors, risk factors, treatment options (including our Circle of Moms support groups), and resources are covered!.

Palm Beach Pride Parade

Walk with GYGO at Palm Beach County's Largest Cultural Event presented by Compass Community Center celebrating Pride and this year’s theme 'Proud Together'.

The event takes place in Bryant Park in Downtown Lake Worth Beach. Vendors from all over the country come to provide information and sell their wares. Pride features both local and international talent. There will also be food trucks, food vendors and specialty beverage vendors.

The Palm Beach Pride Parade will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 11am. The parade route follows Lucerne Ave west, then cuts south the Lake Ave and continues east where it ends at Bryant Park (approximately 0.9 mile). Birth to 22: United For Brighter Futures is hosting the 7th annual Get Your Green on campaign countywide. To Kick off the awareness month Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County is hosting a virtual event on April 29th. This event will celebrate the community's effort to promote mental wellness and trauma informed care and provide information about local projects.
